Use a PTE mock test as a diagnostic and progress check, not as the whole study plan. Review the result by task and skill, practise the underlying weakness, then retest after enough focused work.

Start with the exact current requirement from the institution or authority receiving your score. Then compare that requirement with your diagnostic performance and build a task-level plan; do not rely on a generic 65 or 79 target from an unofficial page.
